Pastor Charles Comments: The Desperate Need Is to Be Filled with The Holy Spirit!
The desperate need of CFC is not getting organized. It is not programs, activities, budgets, and buildings. The desperate need is to be “Filled with the Holy Spirit.” We must realize that God has provided supernatural strength for us to reach our community. The supernatural strength is the Holy Spirit. “We shall have power after the Holy Spirit comes upon us” This is still true. I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I want my life to have Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. I am praying to God and asking Him, “Right now what do I need to surrender in my life so I can be used greatly by the Holy Spirit?” I want to see the Power of the Holy Spirit to fall on myself & CFC. I believe we have some great days ahead of us.
I want to say again that I appreciate all the teams working together. It is amazing how much has been done in the past few months. We need to discuss our Outreach Plans this Monday Evening at 6:30 p.m. I am seeing positive steps that we can take to reach numerous unchurched and lost people. At this meeting we will be glad to have Chrissy Cogdell with First Touch Ministry. Chrissy is Linda Watt’s daughter. She will be sharing with us about her outreach ministry. We will also talk about upcoming outreach opportunities and ministries.
Today, we vote on the budget for the rest of the year. When we moved in May we had new expenses that were not in the current budget. The Finance Team worked on the adjustments, presented them, and the approval is up to the church.
Thanks for all your faithfulness in giving to the Ministries of CFC.
