God Calls us to LIVE DANGEROUSLY!
Live dangerously! That was one of many themes in Brennan Manning’s superb book The Signature of Jesus. Manning presents a radical alternative to the normal everyday, ho-hum, “comfort zone” mentality lived out by so many “so-called Christians.”
His final statement in the book:
“The Signature of Jesus is offered to Christians who want to live by faith and not by mere ‘religion,’ for those who recognize that many of the burning theological issues in the church today are neither burning nor theological, [for those] who see Christianity neither as a moral code or a belief system but a love affair, who have not forgotten that they are followers of a crucified Christ, who know that following Him means living dangerously, who want to live the gospel without compromise, who have no greater desire than to have His signature written on the pages of their lives.”
Join me this Friday at 10:00 (Online or Onsite) as we start our Bible Study in the Book Of Positive Christian Living…the Book of Philippians. The study of this book will make you a more joyful person. The words “Joy” and “Rejoice” are mentioned so many times in this Epistle. It truly is the “Epistle of Joy.” If your cup of life is not full then start reading an studying the Book of Joy…The Book of Philippians. I am calling this Bible Study” How to Live Positive…When the World has gone Whacky.”
Nancy and I left on Saturday, August 28th and traveled to Colorado for rest and refreshment. We traveled 2528 miles. (I think that Nancy probably was glad to get out of the car and also get a little space from me. You know I can be a little annoying.) What a beautiful State. Have I mentioned to you that I was born in that state?
Thanks Jeff, Cindy & L.D. for all they did while I was gone. It is great to be back home and be back with our Country Fellowship Church Family.
As you think of life in 2021 then think about the Signature of Jesus!
