A Comment from Pastor Charles: Earthquakes and Fault Lines!

“Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” I Corinthians 10:12

Living near fault lines and experience an Earthquake can be disastrous. Spiritually, Morally and Historically America is living on a dangerous cultural fault lines. Os Guinness wrote, “Despite it’s historic political and economic triumphs, the America Republic is entering its own time of reckoning, an hour of truth that will not be delayed. It is rearing the climax of a generation-long cultural revolution, or crisis of cultural authority.”

America needs to take a good look at herself because she is standing on some fault lines! America is in a  Shaking Place, Morally; Spiritually and Historically.

There is a Remedy and a Solution and it is Repent from your sins and Turn back to God: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles7:14/ What if we don’t?  The Great Revivalist, Leonard Ravenhill who died in 1994 was a modern day prophet. In 1979, he wrote with a heavy heart concerning America and her future. Here is what he said, “Compared with the hoary dynasties and the empire of the ages. America is but a prattling child in a crib playing with its toes. Compared with the ancient civilizations, America was born only yesterday. But she is dying today, and she will be dead tomorrow unless there is a spiritual awakening…America can die but it would have to be by suicide. It would be because she thinks God is dead, and because she believes that His laws do not, in her hour of freedom and affluence, include her…We go down on our knees or go down in oblivion.”

So true, we are showing off our sins in the face of a Holy God. Today we look at David’s question, “ What can the righteous do?’ Simple answer: 1. Humble ourselves to a Holy God; 2. Repent- turn from the world and turn to God. Edward Everett Hale wrote in poem these words, “I am only one. I can’t do everything, but I can do something. What can I do, that I ought to do, and what I ought to do, by the grace of God shall I do? Pray!” Repent and ask God to heal our land! Praying for Revival in America! Pastor Charles 979/229-9342
