Jesus Prayed Alone!

Have you ever noticed that Jesus prayed alone?  Well, He did.

Jesus, most of the time prayed alone.  It has taken me a long time in life to figure this out.  When you read Luke 11:1-13; you see his disciples are asking him essentially why their prayers were not working? They put it like this, “Why don’t you teach us to pray?”  I think in their heads they were saying this “prayer thing” is not working out.  Jesus tells them that their prayers do not work because they do not know how to pray.  Jesus answers the “How” question.  He then said “Pray like this…” He then gives them the Lord’s Prayer or what is been called, “The Model Prayer.” He was saying First, “Acknowledge God and who He is.” Second, “Ask what you need (Food & Water-Essentials).  Ask for forgiveness and courage in life to do the right things.  I think we make three big mistakes when we pray.

  1. Prayers are not working because we ask for what we think we need.
  2. Prayers are not working because we are trying to change God instead of changing us.
  3. Prayers are not working because we cannot recognize the “Yes” when we hear one.

Pray & believe and help our Unbelief!  (Mark 9:24)
