Find the Good!

Many years ago, in a manufacturing town in Scotland, a young lady took on a Sunday School class of poor boys.  The worst, most unpromising lad was Bob.  The church reached out to Bob by giving to him a new suit of clothes.  Bob wore them very proudly, yet within a few weeks he quit attending the church.  His teacher went to visit him and found him wearing the new suit that was now torn and soiled.  The church then gave him, a second suit of clothes.  Again, the same thing happened.  The teacher became discouraged and told the Sunday School director that she was going to give up on Bob.  “No!” said the Sunday School Director, “try one more time.” She did, and the obstinate boy, became a very earnest Christian.  That once unpromising lad, whose name was Robert Morrison, became a missionary to China.  In fact, he translated the first Bible into the Chinese language.  The result was that millions of Chinese have come to know Christ because of the work of Robert Morrison, or should I say because of the work of a faithful Sunday School teacher.  Catch the vision for people.  Will you invite one person to church this next Sunday?  I am believing God for a miracle next Sunday October 30th.

You can make a difference.

Catch the Enthusiasm for God’s Work!  Find the Good.  Joseph in the OT did, and we can also.

Thanks for the nice and generous love gift that you gave to Nancy and me for Pastor Appreciation Month!  We are so blessed to be a part of Country Fellowship!

Trusting God and looking for the good!  Pastor Charles
