Who are we supposed to be?
“After David had done the will of God in his own generation, he died and was buried.” (Acts 13:36- NLT)
Max Lucado put it this way: “The church cannot be who she’s supposed to be until we are willing to be who we are supposed to be.”
I am thinking right now of all the things that we can do if we team up together to get them done. This month, teams will be meeting to work on their areas of the 2023 budget. Faith is moving forward and not moving backwards. As we plan the 2023 budget, keep that in mind.
Thanks to Cindy for leading us in the Fall Festival Outreach Event. Thanks for all who pitched in and helped. Through this effort we were able to gather new prospects. On Fridays at 9:00 a.m. we are studying about various cults. This Friday, we will finish the Study of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints. We will look at what they believe about salvation and eternal life.
We had our first Deacons meeting last week. Mike Wollard will be the Chairman. Alan Wiley will be Vice-Chairman, and Bill Broome will be the Secretary. Our church has six deacons. The other three are: Travis Kankey, Archie Simmons, and Chuck Albrecht. Keep these men in your prayers.
Have a great Sunday! Have a Great Week and “Go Astros!”
Blessings – Pastor Charles
