“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to Salvation” Romans 1:16
The Bible forms the foundation of our faith. Hershel Hobbs talked about the infallibility of the Bible. He simply put it, “The Bible is truth without any mixture of errors.” I agree with him. The Bible is Indestructible; Inspirational; Unstoppable and Unchangeable. In the 3rd Century, Diocletian could not destroy it. Nero and Hitler could not change it. Thomas Jefferson could not redact it and Jordan Peterson cannot explain it away.
Sunday, I want to preach about the importance of Believing the Bible. The importance of proclaiming it and letting it be the standard of Christian Faith.
David Radish has been one of the Nation’s top Bloggers. His articles have been published in Time; Esquire; Mademoiselle and the New York Times. He is not a Christian and would be quick to tell you that. He is no friend of the Bible, yet he said something amazing about the Bible in the New Yorker, “ That familiar observation that the Bible is the best-selling book of all the times obscures the fact that the Bible is the best-selling book every year.”
I believe what the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 119:89 “Your word, O Lord.is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.”
What does that verse mean? It means that before the Word was delivered in earth it existed in Heaven.
Let’s talk about it this Sunday. Sunday Evening we want to visit about “Going Forward as a Believer.” Will you join me as we try to invite others to church this Sunday?
As I write this, Lonnie Lucas is in the Scott & White Hospital. She has not been well and so they are running some test. Pray for Terry Klepac’s Mother and for the family. His mother is in Hospice Care. David Greenwood sent me a message that his wife, Diane is having a good week. She has regained some strength in the past few days.
See you Sunday with a Bible in your hand and a great appreciation for the Word of God in your heart.
Blessings! Pastor Charles
