Jesus Wants Long-Term!
Lane Adams was an entertainer and singer in the Las Vegas Scene. God got a hold of him and he became a great witness for Christ. His favorite pastime was to get on an airplane and call the stewardess to visit with him. He would ask her,” What are your plans for the future?” She might say, well I would like to go back to college, and after that I would like to get married. And after that I would like to have children. After that I would like to buy a home. And after that I would like to buy a boat. After that I guess I will retire. And after that, I guess we die!” Lane would then ask. “And after that?” And she’d always be speechless.
The Whole World thinks “Short- Term.” Jesus thinks always “Long-Term.” The World thinks of time. Jesus thinks of eternity. Jesus promotes a different future. The World promotes a different present. Short- term or Long-term? Here is what I know and am experiencing: “The Longer I serve him the sweeter He grows!” Pastor Charles / 229-9342 / pastorcountryfellowship @ gmail.com
