Stay Focused!
There’s a story about Hank Aaron and Yogi Berra. Aaron stepped up to the plate and Berra said, “Hey, you’re holding your bat wrong. You’ve got the label turned down. You can’t hit the ball with the label turned down. You need to turn the bat so you can read the label.” Without taking his eye off the pitcher, Hank Aaron said to Berra, “I didn’t come here to read; I came here to hit.” Aaron was focused.
Jesus was focused. At 12, He said, “I must be about my Father’s business.” During his ministry He said, “I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while there is yet time.” Jesus stayed focused.
We have a great work ahead of us. Winning people to Christ, equipping believers and making an impact on the Brazos Valley. Therefore, stay focused.
