“Setbacks are Setups for a Comebacks!”
Do you believe the above statement? I do. I have heard that saying a good many. I don’t know who came up with that great encouraging statement, but I believe it was inspired by God. The person who came up with that powerful statement must have read and believed in the following verse “I have been young, and now I am old; yet have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm37:25
Are you having a Setback? Use your Setback for a Comeback. Use this Test for a Testimony. Stay in there. Don’t give up! Do you have a problem? Norman Vincent Peale said that every problem has a soft spot. When you find the soft spot, the problem can be broken apart. It is then you can find the solution. Solving problems with God’s power will make a difference.
Nancy and I are in in the Dallas area today. Yesterday afternoon, I preached the funeral sermon for one of my preacher friends. His name was Tom Ruane. Tom left a great legacy. A great part of his ministry was being part of the Baptist Student Ministry throughout Texas. He also started two Cowboy Churches and was interim pastor for a great number of churches. He was on staff of the Baptist General Convention for 30+ years. Please pray for his wife, Mary Alice, and his family. In my absence, Ken White will preach and share about the Recovery Ministry that we will be starting. Ken, his wife, and others will lead in the Worship time. You will be blessed.
This morning at the close of the service our members will be given a ballot so you can vote “yes” or “no” on the 2023 budget. It was handed out on Jan 8th and discussed last week. This morning we vote without discussion. Thanks to Cindy and the Teams that put 2023 Budget together.
Blessings! Charles
