Years ago two brothers grew up on a farm in East Texas. One brother took to education like a duck to water. He graduated from Texas A.& M. and became a renowned engineer in Chicago. The other brother was content to stay home and farm. Some years later the learned brother was invited to give a speech at the Aldophus Hotel in Dallas. He had not seen his brother in a long while so he invited him to bring his family to the hotel and spend a little time with him. The rural brother had never been in a town bigger than Longview. He and his wife and son piled into their pickup truck and headed for Dallas. After a fearful experience on the interstate highways, they pulled up in front of the Aldophus Hotel. The farmer left his wife in the truck. He and his son went inside to check in. Just inside the entrance were several elevators. The farmer had never seen one before. He watched a large, very plain, middle aged lady step inside one of those little rooms. The doors closed. After about a minute, the doors opened and out stepped a young lady who looked like Miss America. The farmer’s eyes bugged out. Quickly he punched his son and said, “Boy, go get Your Maw. I’m gonna run her through that thing one time.”
Christ can change us on the inside! A new heart!
“When a believer looks inside he or she will we see that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; and a new life begins.” 2 Corinthians 5:17- The Message
Christ in the future will change you on the outside! A new body!
“Behold I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall all be changed. For this perishable must put on imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.” I Corinthians 15:51,52 &53 (NAS)
