Are you ready to have your faith stretched?
When we started Country Fellowship Church, we spent several Sunday Evenings Teaching about the Prayer of Jabez “Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, ‘Because I bore him in pain.’ And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, ‘Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!’ So, God granted him what he requested” (1 Chronicles 4:9-10, NKJV).
Jabez knew that God would bless him so much that he would need his borders expanded. That is what the Scriptures mean when Paul writes, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (I Corinthians 2:9)
I just believe that God is calling Country Fellowship into Operation Expansion! Jabez sought God’s Blessing! Jabez sought God’s Expansion! Bruce Wilkerson calls Jabez “God’s little big man.” Jabez was asking to be larger than life. He wanted more room. He wanted a greater vision.
Country Fellowship Church wants more room. I believe that right now Country Fellowship Church needs to expand her faith, vision, and ministry.
We are progressing on buying the property on 24th Street in Bryan. I have been praying and asking God to help put a ministry together that would reach out to more people. I also have looked at resources both inside and outside in helping us buy and maintain the property. Come meet with me. I would love to share with you and answer your questions at the “Input -Output Metting” this Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Church Facility located at 408 E. 24th Street, Bryan, At this meeting, I would like to lay out some steps that will help take us to a new level of ministry and outreach. Jabez wanted to be stretched. I believe that Country Fellowship Church wants to be stretched. Let’s talk about it this Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
This morning we welcome the Gideon’s Ministry. This ministry has been and still is an effective way of reaching people through-out the world. You will be very blessed. Nancy and I are in Alvarado, Texas where I have been invited to preach at the Cedar Cross Country Church. They wanted me to come and preach and encourage them before their new interim pastor comes to lead them. In the last year, this church has gone through a traumatic experience. Since July I have been consulting and encouraging them as they move forward. Please keep them in your prayers. (I want to be fully transparent about this trip. This afternoon we will also go to Fort Worth and visit with our TCU granddaughter, Hope. That is a great Bonus for us.)
