Compassion & Comfort Needed.
Every person and every family will have to deal with sorrow and problems. England’s Great Preacher, Jospeh Parker said to his preacher students, “Every pew has at least one broken heart.” Parker challenged them to preach to those broken hearts. Compassion is needed. Jesus told the story of the Good Samaritan. Why did they call him “Good?” He was called “Good” because he was the only one to stop and help a person who was much in need. In the story of the Good Samaritan, we find a man on the side of the road that had been mugged and robbed. A Levite walked by but did not help. A Priest walked by and did not help. The Samaritan stopped and rendered aid and that is how he got his nickname, “The Good Samaritan.” Look for that hurting heart and stop, help, and listen.
“Beloved since God loved us so much, we ought to love one another.” (1 John 4:11)
