Spare Tire or Steering Wheel? Many of us want to use God like a Spare Tire rather than a Steering Wheel. We want to wait until we have spiritual blowouts and see if God will come and help us.  Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Why does God allow us to have problems? Could it be to cause us to seek Him!

Did you know that if we never had problems, most likely we would not seek God? The time that we have grown the most was when we have had a tough season in our lives. When everything is fine then we tend not to seek God.  The times God was the nearest, dearest, and most real to us were the times that we were drawn to Him through prayer. In those times we found God to be faithful. King David put it like this: “Thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress” (Psalm 4:1).

Difficult times can teach us so much more when we seek the Face of God though Prayer and His Word. Thanks for worshiping with us this Resurrection Sunday!
